About: Studio Misc.
In 2014 I started a ten year journey into freelancing. Social media marketing morphed into copywriting, copywriting led to building websites and building websites gave me an entry way into branding design.
After a decade of learning, honing and taking stock of what I like to do and what I do best, I settled on branding and websites. Still, you never lose all of those other skills, the miscellaneous ones, that continue to help me to be a better designer and understand how different parts can and should be incorporated with one another.
So in 2024 my focus shifted and Studio Misc. was created to help you get the website your business deserves.
Ethos: The power of story
Since my background is in creative writing and marketing, storytelling is at the heart of everything I do and website and branding design is no exception.
It's not just your copy that should tell the story of you and your business but your branding and website too. Design can encapsulate and convey narrative in a multitude of ways.
Fonts can show what type of business you have and effects how your clients and customers view your business. Colours can communicate your values and ethos and effect how your clients/customers feel about and approach your business.
When you combine narrative with design it allows your customers/clients/stakeholders to feel more connected to you, your business and your brand story.

My name is Jordan, the person behind Studio Misc. and the one who creates your branding and designs your websites. For ten years I have been designing and building websites for a range of business types and creatives.
